Thru Jackie’s Garden Window
Sadly, this beautiful piece of artwork was in a gallery at Fort Myers Beach, FL when Hurricane Ian hit. It was destroyed.
A friend of mine, Jackie, was moving and clearing stuff out. She had this canvas that was partially painted, so I bought it. That turned into this piece. She had started some flowers, so I kept most of what I could and that is what you see in the middle. They had dulled over time, so I brightened them up with acrylic paint.
I used doilies with mediums to create the texture on the canvas around the flowers. Then dropped acrylic inks and India inks to create the illusion of a flower garden thru a screen.
This piece is framed with a beautiful wood frame.
